Dear Elizabeth

Dear Elizabeth,

How have you been recently? I know it has been a while since I last talked to you. I can't believe it has really been almost three years since I saw you! I know we really didn't end on the best terms, but I am writing this letter to really catch up with you, because I still miss you as a friend and nothing more. I heard you moved to France a couple of months back. Mom told me that your parents are starting to come back to church and we found out through them. Just to make it clear, they were just informing us in passing, I wasn't trying to be a creep and asking about you or anything in that nature. I am glad your parents don't seem to hate me like they did before. They miss you a lot and hope you would find a college back in the states. I am doing okay in case you were wondering. I am still an art major in college and I should be finishing up by next fall. I heard five years is the new four years at college, or that is what they told me anyways. I have a lot of friends in college and I like to go out and party with people. I'm not a crazy party person, but I go to the bars with some of my friends. I really am the designated driver, but I just don't like the taste of beer, whiskey tastes like pencils and vodka taste like ink. I like some wine. I bet the wine taste amazing in France! Wouldn't mind going out there sometime and have some of the cheese! I know that is a weird reason to go to France, but it would be nice to see you. I'm still single in case you were wondering. I was dating this one girl in my class, but she just really didn't see my that way, which it's no big deal. I go on some blind dates with friends of my friends. Even went on a date with my mom's coworker's daughter, but she wasn't interested. Last time I let my mom set up a date. Of course that is how we met if you think about it. I forgot that your parents got my parents going to the church. I remember you playing with the blocks, and my parents left me with that old lady who ran the nursery! You were four years old? No, I was seven so you were five. Crazy I knew you that long. I miss you, Elizabeth. I really miss you. I know it has been three years, but I just can't stop thinking about you recently. I know you wouldn't answer my calls when I tried to call last year, but maybe you can read this letter. I know it is a bit old school, but if you don't want to read this letter than no big deal. I wouldn't be upset. I am seeing a therapist. He is just helping me with trying to get through my issues. I couldn't put up with myself I don't know how you were ever able to deal with my problems. I am getting better though, I have been seeing him for a year now, and I actually called last year to let you know that I was starting therapy. He suggested me to write a letter to you. I talk about you a lot and after I finish this letter, I am suppose to move to another topic in our sessions. I still love you.

Sincerely,
Ben
