Sarah's September Wonder

To Sarah,

I love you

I'm sorry if this embarrasses you

Once there was a little lady

She was sweet and always steady

She was not use to all this fame

This little lady, Sarah was her name

One day she had a hunger and her tummy grumbled

She went to the fridge as she looked and fumbled

Sadly, no food could be found 

and poor little Sarah had a poor little frown

Sarah was persistent in her way and would not give up and would go the extra feat 

just so she could find something to eat.

Sarah went outside and look for some food

but she couldn't find anything good!

She stumbled upon a tree 

which made her smile with glee

For this tree was small and acute

but use to be full of fruit

Sarah walked around the tree that use to have rome beauties

but there were no more apples for this little cutie

Sarah moved on to find something to take

and then came across a slithery slimy snake.

My goodness! said Sarah shocked and surprised

She was startled by the snake that came up another tree as his head began to rise

Hello said Sarah to the slithery slimy snake

Why hello there little lady you can call me Jake.

Hello hello said Sarah as she reached out her arm to greet him as a friend

but realized that she could not greet him because he had no hands

Sarah asked the snake to help her find some food which would be the best

He told her to go to the apple trees that were just a couple of yards to the west

The snake hissed and was nervous to say

but he asked Sarah if she could make his day

for he was also hungry so he wanted to beg

if Sarah would carry him since he had no legs.

Sarah carried Jake and found a bunch of trees that use to be full of apples

The trees were so high would need a ladder, a rope, or even a grapple!

Sarah was hungry but she didn't want to settle for the rest

for she only wanted an apple that was the best

Sarah walked through the orchard looking for the best apples and found a tree that had red delicious!

but there was a kitty cat guarding the tree who was quite vicious!

May I please oh please have one of these apples said the little lady
She didn't want to come across as too petty

I would if I had one left said the kitty cat

but everyone is taking my apples so they can be happy and fat

Sarah introduced herself as said she would rather have a friend

than take any apple and let this kitty cat be the end

The kitty cat was soft and was a Tabby

but she introduced herself as Abby.

Jake asked if these were the best apples in the land

but Abby told him that there were better apples just across the apple stand

Well said Sarah grabbing at her grumbling tummy

Lets all go together and find something yummy!

They came across the apple stand that was sadly empty

each apple was on sale for only three fifty!

No no no said Sarah with no apples not even a mutsu

her tummy was growling whatever would she do?

I'm sorry said the workers who were two otters

We hope us running out was not really a bother

Its okay Sarah said with a smile and glee

would you like to come with us to look for apples and to bring back what you see?

The two otters agreed to come as they needed more apples for their stand

because later there was going to be a big performance with a big band

They enjoyed picking apples as it was their favorite hobby

The two otter's names were Jessica and Robbie

 The five of them came across a tree that had big vines around that twirl and wrap

for this tree use to have the apple wine sap

Sigh went Sarah as she was without an apple once again

She heard an apology behind her who was a nice little hen

The hen looked sad as she had no more wine sap to pick

All these new customers that came really did the trick

All theses people come and take our apples but I am really to blame

I am a little hen, but Kayla is my name.

Sarah understood that Kayla was also so hungry she could see she was shook

Come with us Kayla so we all can have something to cook

I'm starving said Kayla as she wanted to find apples by the dozen

because I am a hen and if people get hungry I may be in the oven!

They all went together to find any apple the could find

they even walked around every tree line

No fuji, no granny smith, or honey crisp in sight

Sarah's little tummy was putting up quite a fight

When they almost gave up Sarah got frustrated and wanted to say

I'm sorry but my hungry is not making me not want to stay.

Sarah's new friends all agreed to leave togehter

but as they came to the middle of the orchard they found their better

For in the middle of the orchard laid an apple tree

For Sarah did not know what apples laid before thee

Is it so? Could it be?

Could these little apples be for little old me? 

As Sarah went up the tree she had one problem that was very hard

for this tree was very large

However will I get the apples for these trees?

Sarah's friends smiled and said "we"

Jessica and Robbie helped each other up stomp and from the big roots

They were able to get a lot of the fruit

Jake slithered around the trunk

He was able to knock some down with a little luck

Abby was able to climb up the tree with her claws on the bark

She could knock down apples even if it was dark

Sarah threw Kayla as she flapped her wings

She made it so high up the tree she began to sing.

Sarah ran around catching all the apples they knocked down

Sarah now had an upside down frown

Thank you thank you! Said Sarah with all her apples in her arms

Hurry! said the otters. Lets go back to the farm.

The concert began and everyone
partied and danced.

Finally, Sarah was able to eat this was her chance

These apples were wonderful as there was plenty to go around

Everyone was loving these apples all over town

What should we call these apples Sarah asked her new friends

For these apples will be the best till the very end.

Sarah sat and began to ponder

I think these apples are so good, I'll call them September wonder
